Rayzeek wireless motion sensors help add motion-based lighting control where the sensor should be placed away from the controlled load. Choose hardwired receiver kits, plug receiver kits, wall-switch kits, or low-voltage controller kits based on the load type, installation method, and control behavior required.

Wireless Sensor Plus Receiver Control

A wireless motion sensor kit separates detection from load control. The battery-powered sensor detects movement and sends a signal to a receiver or controller that switches the connected light or device.

RZ039 uses a wireless PIR sensor and a hardwired receiver at the light fixture; it is not a plug kit or an in-wall switch.

Match the Receiver to the Load

Plug kits control plug-in devices, hardwired receiver kits control fixtures, in-wall switch kits replace wall-switch control, and low-voltage kits control DC lighting. The right wireless sensor depends on what is being switched.

Choose by receiver type first, then by region, load rating, and desired occupancy or vacancy behavior.

Hardwired Fixture Control

Use RZ039 where a receiver can be wired at the fixture and the motion sensor needs flexible placement away from the switch box.

Plug-In Device Control

Use regional plug receiver kits where the controlled device plugs into an outlet and does not require fixture wiring.

Low-Voltage Lighting Control

Use wireless low-voltage controller kits for LED strip, cabinet, stair, and display lighting projects that use DC power.

What is a wireless motion sensor kit?

A wireless motion sensor kit separates motion detection from load control. A battery-powered sensor detects movement and sends a wireless signal to a receiver, controller, plug, or switch that controls the connected light or device.

What is RZ039 used for?

RZ039 is a wireless motion sensor lighting-control kit with a battery-powered sensor and a hardwired receiver connected at the light fixture. It is useful when the sensor needs flexible placement without running new switch wiring.

Is RZ039 a plug kit?

No. RZ039 is not a plug kit. Its receiver is hardwired to the light fixture. For plug-in device control, choose the appropriate RZ061, RZ062, RZ063, or RZ064 plug kit by region and load requirements.

Can wireless motion sensors support occupancy and vacancy behavior?

RZ039 supports occupancy mode for auto on/auto off and vacancy mode for manual on/auto off. Product behavior varies by kit, so choose the model that matches the desired control mode.

When should I use a wireless sensor instead of an in-wall motion switch?

Use a wireless sensor when the best detection position is not the switch box, when fixture receiver control is preferred, or when a plug or low-voltage controller kit better matches the load.

Are wireless motion sensor kits for indoor use?
