Will the RZ050 work with my AC unit?
The RZ050 is compatible with most split AC units that use a remote control with separate ON and OFF commands.
How do I install the RZ050 Air Conditioner Occupancy Sensor?
Installation is simple and requires no wiring. You can either stick the device to the wall using the included adhesive or mount it with screws. Detailed instructions are provided in the user manual.
How long does the battery last?
The RZ050 is designed for long battery life, typically lasting at least one year with normal use.
What is Night Mode?
Night Mode prevents the AC from turning off while you sleep. It uses a light sensor to detect when it’s dark (below 1Lux) and deactivates the motion sensor during those hours.
Can I use the RZ050 to turn my AC ON?
Yes. While its primary function is to send an “Away” command (like OFF or a higher temperature) when a room is empty, the RZ050-DP (the model detailed on this page) can also learn an optional “Welcome” command from your AC remote. This allows it to, for example, turn the AC ON or set a preferred cool temperature when motion is detected after a period of vacancy, if you’ve programmed this second command.
What is the warranty on the RZ050?

How does the door/window sensor work?
The optional door/window sensor communicates wirelessly with the RZ050. If a door or window is opened for more than 3 minutes, the RZ050 will automatically turn off the AC.
How do I set a pet-friendly temperature?
You can teach the RZ050 a specific temperature setting command from your AC remote, such as 28°C. When the room is unoccupied, the RZ050 will switch to this setting instead of turning the AC off completely.
