What is Visible Light
Visible light is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is perceivable by the human eye. It encompasses wavelengths ranging from 380 to 700 nanometers (nm) and is responsible for the colors we perceive. When the full spectrum of visible light passes through a prism, the different wavelengths separate into the colors of the rainbow. This phenomenon occurs because each color corresponds to a different wavelength. Violet has the shortest wavelength, measuring around 380 nm, while red has the longest wavelength, measuring around 700 nm.
