Tube lighting has evolved to include LED tube lights as a more energy-efficient and durable alternative to traditional fluorescent tube lights. LED tube lights, also known as LED linear lamps, utilize light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as the light source. They offer several advantages over fluorescent lamps, including longer lifespan, lower energy consumption, and better light quality.
LED tube lights come in different types based on their diameter, such as T8, T12, and T5HO. The number after the letter “T” in these designations indicates the diameter of the tube in eighths of an inch. For example, a T8 lamp has a diameter of 8 eighths of an inch, which is equivalent to 1 inch. Additionally, LED tube lights are available in various lengths, ranging from 1 foot to 8 feet, allowing for customization based on the requirements of the lighting application.
