What is Double Ended
In the lighting industry, double ended refers to a type of gas-filled tubular lamp that has connectors on both ends, allowing it to snap into place on a fixture. This design feature distinguishes it from single-ended lamps, which typically screw into a socket.
Double-ended lamps are commonly used in HID (High-Intensity Discharge) lighting systems, such as HPS (High-Pressure Sodium), MH (Metal Halide), and CMH (Ceramic Metal Halide) lamps. These lamps are designed to operate at high frequencies, providing a stable temperature and operating current.
