What is E27 Bulb
An E27 bulb, also known as an Edison bulb with a big screw socket, is a type of light bulb commonly found in residential and commercial settings. The term “E27” refers to the size of the bulb’s base, specifically the diameter, which measures 27 millimeters. This base is known as an Edison Screw (ES) cap.

The E27 bulb is designed to be easily installed and replaced by simply screwing it into the light fixture. It is compatible with various types of bulbs, including incandescent, CFL, halogen, and LED fittings. The shape and design of the bulb can vary, but the E27 base remains the same.
The E27 bulb operates at a voltage of 230/240V, making it suitable for use in regions with this electrical standard. Ensure that the voltage of the bulb matches the voltage of the lamp and lampholder to avoid electrical hazards.
While the E27 and E26 bulbs have similar bases, with the only difference being a 1mm longer screw diameter in E27 bulbs, they are designed for different voltage levels. E26 bulbs are intended for use with a voltage of up to 120V AC, while E27 bulbs are designed for up to 240V AC.
