Es el escenario donde las t\u00e1cticas est\u00e1ndar de instalar e irse fallan sistem\u00e1ticamente, lo que suele dar como resultado que alguien agite los brazos fren\u00e9ticamente al quedarse a oscuras a mitad de camino de la sala de descanso. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una suposici\u00f3n com\u00fan es que un sensor de gama alta con una visi\u00f3n de 360 grados y un radio de detecci\u00f3n masivo puede simplemente colocarse cerca de la esquina y cubrir ambos tramos del pasillo. Esa suposici\u00f3n sale cara. Conlleva reajustes postventa, quejas sobre luces \"fantasma\" y, a la larga, que el administrador de la instalaci\u00f3n exija que se retire el sistema por completo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El fallo en este caso rara vez se debe a un defecto en el propio hardware. Un sensor PIR (infrarrojo pasivo) para montaje en techo de Rayzeek o uno similar de calidad comercial funcionar\u00e1 exactamente como dictan las leyes de la f\u00edsica. El problema es que el instalador le est\u00e1 pidiendo al sensor que haga algo imposible: ver a trav\u00e9s de una pared o detectar un movimiento que es pr\u00e1cticamente invisible para su lente. Cuando un usuario dobla una esquina ciega, entra en una zona muerta que un \u00fanico sensor montado en el v\u00e9rtice a menudo no puede resolver hasta que es demasiado tarde. El caf\u00e9 se derrama, la espinilla se golpea contra un carro y se culpa al sistema de control de iluminaci\u00f3n de lo que, en \u00faltima instancia, es un fallo de geometr\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-physics-of-the-blind-sensor\">La f\u00edsica del sensor \"ciego\"<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para solucionar el problema de la forma en L, hay que dejar de pensar en un sensor de movimiento como si fuera una c\u00e1mara. No \"ve\" a las personas, sino que detecta el movimiento del calor a trav\u00e9s de una rejilla. Dentro de la c\u00fapula de pl\u00e1stico blanco de un sensor PIR se encuentra una lente de Fresnel: una pieza facetada de pl\u00e1stico \u00f3ptico que divide la sala en zonas de detecci\u00f3n en forma de cu\u00f1a. El sensor se activa cuando una fuente de calor (un cuerpo humano) cruza el l\u00edmite entre estas zonas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este mecanismo crea una debilidad cr\u00edtica que a menudo queda oculta en los manuales del producto: la diferencia entre el movimiento tangencial y el radial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Movimiento tangencial<\/strong> es el movimiento <em>a trav\u00e9s de<\/em> el campo de visi\u00f3n del sensor. Esto atraviesa m\u00faltiples cu\u00f1as de detecci\u00f3n de forma r\u00e1pida, lo que genera una se\u00f1al fuerte e inequ\u00edvoca. Es el mejor escenario posible para la tecnolog\u00eda PIR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Movimiento radial<\/strong>, sin embargo, es el movimiento directo <em>hacia<\/em> o <em>alej\u00e1ndose<\/em> del sensor. Cuando una persona camina en l\u00ednea recta hacia un sensor, permanece esencialmente dentro de una misma cu\u00f1a durante m\u00e1s tiempo. Si se coloca un solo sensor en la esquina, los usuarios que se aproximen desde cualquiera de los tramos de la L se mover\u00e1n radialmente, es decir, directamente hacia el sensor. Permanecer\u00e1n en el punto ciego hasta que est\u00e9n pr\u00e1cticamente debajo del dispositivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se podr\u00eda tener la tentaci\u00f3n de solucionar esto con sensores de doble tecnolog\u00eda (que combinan PIR con detecci\u00f3n por ultrasonidos o microondas) para llenar la sala con ondas activas. Aunque es t\u00e9cnicamente cierto que los ultrasonidos son m\u00e1s sensibles a los movimientos menores, esto introduce una nueva serie de inconvenientes en un pasillo. Las ondas ultras\u00f3nicas rebotan en las superficies duras y pueden atravesar paneles de yeso y cristales. En una modernizaci\u00f3n, esto significa que las luces del pasillo se activar\u00e1n cada vez que alguien cambie de postura en su silla en una oficina adyacente o pase por delante de una puerta cerrada. El enfoque profesional requiere un sensor dedicado para cada tramo de la L, posicionado para crear una \"zona de acci\u00f3n\" superpuesta en el giro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En lugar de montar una unidad en el centro de la intersecci\u00f3n, aleje dos sensores de la esquina:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sensor A<\/strong> en el tramo Norte, a unos 10 o 15 pies de la esquina, orientado hacia el Sur, en direcci\u00f3n a la intersecci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sensor B<\/strong> en el tramo Este, orientado hacia el Oeste, en direcci\u00f3n a la intersecci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La distancia exacta depende de la altura del techo y del patr\u00f3n de cobertura del modelo espec\u00edfico de Rayzeek, pero la intenci\u00f3n es geom\u00e9trica: el objetivo es que el Sensor A capte a la persona en el tramo Este movi\u00e9ndose <em>tangencialmente<\/em> (a trav\u00e9s de su campo de visi\u00f3n) incluso antes de que llegue a la esquina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esto crea un escenario en el que los sensores cubren mutuamente sus puntos ciegos. La persona que camina por el pasillo Norte se mueve radialmente hacia el Sensor A (detecci\u00f3n d\u00e9bil) pero tangencialmente a trav\u00e9s del campo de visi\u00f3n del Sensor B (detecci\u00f3n fuerte). Para cuando llega al punto cr\u00edtico de decisi\u00f3n (la esquina), ambos sensores han tenido oportunidades de sobra para registrar un cruce tangencial. Las luces se encienden antes de que el usuario gire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este dise\u00f1o tambi\u00e9n exige un ajuste f\u00edsico que va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la simple colocaci\u00f3n. In distribuciones complejas donde un sensor podr\u00eda ver a trav\u00e9s de una puerta abierta hacia una sala de conferencias o una escalera, el enmascaramiento de la lente es innegociable. La mayor\u00eda de los sensores comerciales vienen con tiras adhesivas opacas o inserciones de pl\u00e1stico. En el sector, a esto lo llamamos \"encendidos fantasma\": luces que se encienden y apagan continuamente durante toda la noche sin que haya nadie presente. En casi todos los casos, el sensor no est\u00e1 defectuoso, simplemente est\u00e1 perdiendo la batalla contra el sistema de climatizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<div
