Es umfasst Wellenl\u00e4ngen im Bereich von 380 bis 700 Nanometern (nm) und ist f\u00fcr die von uns wahrgenommenen Farben verantwortlich. Wenn das gesamte Spektrum des sichtbaren Lichts ein Prisma durchl\u00e4uft, trennen sich die verschiedenen Wellenl\u00e4ngen in die Farben des Regenbogens. Dieses Ph\u00e4nomen entsteht, weil jede Farbe einer anderen Wellenl\u00e4nge entspricht.
