Es handelt sich um ein elektronisches Bauteil mit zwei Anschl\u00fcssen: einem positiven Anschluss, der als Anode bezeichnet wird, und einem negativen Anschluss, der als Kathode bezeichnet wird. Wenn eine Spannung in Durchlassrichtung an die Diode angelegt wird (Anode positiv und Kathode negativ), l\u00e4sst sie den Strom hindurchflie\u00dfen.
