Det er en m\u00e5leinstrumentspecifikation, der beskriver st\u00f8rrelsen af det dynamiske omr\u00e5de for en b\u00f8lgeform eller et signal. Crestfaktor bruges til at angive kvaliteten af et indgangssignal og kan v\u00e6re et m\u00e5l for forholdet mellem spidsv\u00e6rdi og RMS-v\u00e6rdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inden for belysningsindustrien udviser forskellige typer belastninger forskellige str\u00f8mb\u00f8lgeformer, som kan have varierende crestfaktorer. Resistive belastninger, s\u00e5som varmelegemer og gl\u00f8delamper, har n\u00e6sten sinusformede str\u00f8mb\u00f8lgeformer med en crestfaktor t\u00e6t p\u00e5 1,4.
